The setting is nice and smooth, very wearable with no catchy claws. The centre sapphire measures 4.5mm x 3mm, the next are 4mm x 3mm, then 3.5mm x 2.5mm and the smallest is 3mm x 2.5mm.Įither side of the centre is a row of eleven 0.01ct brilliant cut diamonds pavé set in 18ct white gold. They are an excellent colour, a lovely deep blue and the yellow gold sets them off to perfection! The rich gold centre section is delineated and grain set with seven regal looking, oval facet cut sapphires.
It is beautifully made and the design is quite unique with influences to my eye from the Victorian era through to the Art Deco era. This stunning ring has luxurious and quality feel to it. This is a really fabulous vintage sapphire and diamond band ring hallmarked for 1979.
